Approve a piece to keep its mold, files and recipe as a revision, record the molds you make from it, make it again for the next batch, and open a recipe file.
Each piece has a Record view, beside its pour sheet. It keeps what a run of the piece needs the second time: the mold and the files it was made from, the recipe they were made with, the molds you made, their casts, and what they really took.
When the mold and its print files are as you want them, press Approve (on the Record view, on the print files or on the pour sheet). That makes a revision: the mold, every file made from it (the print files, the Bambu project) and the recipe they were made with, kept as they are. A revision never changes. Its files cannot be deleted while the piece is there, and the files you download after approving name it.
Changing anything (a new mold, new print files, a new print estimate) and approving again makes the next revision; the ones before stay as they were. Approving with nothing changed gives the same revision again.
Every ZIP of print files and every Bambu project carries a recipe, castworthy-recipe.json: the revision (or that the piece is not approved yet), the kind of mold and its settings, the materials with the version of the data sheet each figure came from, the printer the files were cut for, the master's checksum and size, the amounts on the pour sheet, and the print files with their checksums. The pour sheet of an approved piece shows the same recipe at its top.
Once you have printed the cases and poured the plaster, Record a mold on its revision: the day you made it, and what it took (filament, print time, plaster). Each cast you log then names its mold, so the mold counts its casts. Mark it worn or damaged as it ages, and Replace it when it is done: the new one is made from the same revision, and the old one is retired on that day.
Make it again on a revision starts the next batch. The pour sheet shows that revision's sheet with its ticks cleared, the mold you cast from, and the last cast's notes, so you start from what you learnt. Log this cast fills in the last batches and times for you to change. End the run puts the sheet back to the piece's newest mold.
Each revision sets what it estimated (filament and print time from the slice, plaster from the pour sheet, the slip, clay or casting material a cast takes) beside what the molds and casts logged, and how far off it was. Your account adds them up over every piece.
When the catalog has a newer data sheet for one of a revision's materials (a plaster's yield, a slip's weight), the pour sheet says so and what changed, and keeps the revision's own amounts. Choosing Make a new revision with it keeps the same mold and files and works the amounts out again.
Drop a recipe file, or the ZIP it came in, anywhere on Castworthy, or choose it in an upload box. If the revision is one of yours, the new piece gets the same mold and print files at once. Otherwise the mold is made again round its master with the recipe's settings: the master is found among your models by its checksum, or you are asked for its file, which must be the very one the mold was made round. The revision's Record view has it to download, beside the recipe.
